There's a kosher version of nearly every classic or ethnic favorite in the American diet. The estimated $9 billion industry is growing by double digits. … the real impetus for soaring kosher food sales is a widespread perception that they are more healthful and pure than their counterparts.
What's most interesting are the demographics. Jewish consumers are not the only ones who eat kosher foods; Muslims, Seventh-Day Adventists, vegetarians and people who are lactose-intolerant also find kosher foods acceptable," states the U.S. agriculture department.
